And that’s the chapter! Thank you all so very much for reading; I have a hard time portraying emotional scenes, but all the feedback I’ve received has been hearteningly positive.
Saturday’s update will begin Side Story #3, which will run for a couple of weeks (apologies to those who’ve already read it), and then on to the next chapter, which I’ve already begun work on. I’m treading very carefully, as ch. 6 will be tricky to write, so I’m trying to give myself as much lead time as I can.
I’m sure Melissa is the only one in the world in which Felix’s threat would actually work. I guess that makes her one of a kind, eh?
And yes! I love how you’re handling the emotions so far, so take your time with the next chapter.

I think I’ll show up to read the side story just for the novelty of having done it backwards (read it in the book first, now reading it online!) lol
